Walt Disney World Resort is expanding its Disney Dreamers Academy into a year-round, multi-year program through a new collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs in Orlando, Miami, Atlanta and Houston.
The initial pilot will serve middle school Club members in those four metropolitan areas. Participating Boys & Girls Clubs will select 200 students for the first class, which is set to be announced in October. Programming is scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Disney said the expanded format will combine virtual and in-person activities, including hands-on workshops, career exploration and mentoring from Disney Cast Members and other experts. Topics are expected to range from engineering to animal sciences. Students will also take part in experiences at their local Clubs and visits to Walt Disney World Resort.
The company said it will make an investment across the participating Boys & Girls Clubs during the program’s first two years, covering the current school year and the 2027-28 school year. Further details are expected in the coming months.
