Disney Cruise Line has expanded the list of sailings eligible for enhanced Placeholder savings, with select voyages through September 2027 now offering up to 25% off the voyage fare. The onboard Placeholder program has historically offered a 10% discount on eligible future cruises.
The highest discount applies only to designated dates and itineraries. The newly listed 25% offers include select Disney Dream Bahamian cruises departing from Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral in late 2026 and 2027, along with select Disney Magic sailings from Galveston, San Diego and Vancouver.
Disney Dream’s eligible Florida departures include three- and four-night Bahamian itineraries from Port Canaveral between late April and late June 2027. A limited number of sailings on other ships are also included, while separate select itineraries qualify for 20% off instead.

Guests who already used a Placeholder on a sailing that becomes eligible for a larger discount do not need to cancel and rebook, according to the report. Disney Cruise Line is set to notify affected guests and travel advisors by email beginning September 22; guests who have paid in full may receive the difference back to their original form of payment.
