Disney Cruise Line's expansion is picking up speed. The company confirmed in its Q3 FY26 shareholder letter that the timeline for its growing fleet has shifted — and in a good direction for fans eager to sail on something new. Ship 12, originally penciled in for 2030, has been moved forward to late 2029, creating a banner year for new launches.
That means 2029 will see three ships debut: ship 11, ship 12, and a fifth Wish-class vessel that will be operated by Oriental Land Company — the same organization behind Tokyo Disney Resort — sailing out of Japan. Names for all three have yet to be announced. The two new-class ships are part of a distinct, smaller design sitting in size between Disney's Magic-class and Dream-class vessels.
The more immediate addition to the fleet is the Disney Believe, a fourth Wish-class ship set to launch late in 2027. Disney says a reveal event for the Believe is planned for October 2026. The Believe follows the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny in that series.
With ship 13 now sliding to 2030 as a result of the reshuffled timeline, Disney's full 13-ship fleet should be operational by the end of that year — barring any delays. It's worth noting that both the Disney Wish and Disney Adventure experienced postponements before their respective launches, so the schedule remains subject to change.
When complete, the fleet will include the five currently sailing ships — Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish — plus the recently launched Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure, bringing the grand total to 13.
