Disney Cruise Line offered its first public glimpse of an entirely new class of ships during the Disney Experiences Showcase, where Claire Weiss appeared alongside host Neil Patrick Harris to share details. The reveal was notable for one specific reason: the teaser footage shown had never been seen publicly before the event.
The new class will consist of three ships set to debut starting in 2029, after Disney Believe — the fourth and final ship in the Wish class — sets sail in 2027. That brings Disney Cruise Line's total fleet count to 13 ships once all announced vessels are in service.
Size is the defining characteristic of this new class. These ships will land squarely between Disney's original vessels — the Magic and Wonder — and the newer, larger Wish-class ships. Weiss described the positioning as sitting "right in the middle of our classic ships and our newer ones," noting that the scale creates opportunities to visit ports and reach audiences that the current fleet hasn't been able to serve.
Beyond the size reveal and the teaser preview, specific details about the ships' themes, onboard experiences, and planned itineraries haven't been announced yet. Disney has signaled that more information will follow as the 2029 debut approaches.
