The splash pad at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is closed for an unannounced refurbishment, according to WDWNT.
Temporary barriers are blocking access to the water play area. WDWNT reported that plastic sheeting covers parts of the flooring and pillars, while several features appear to be receiving fresh paint.
The site’s central element, normally light blue with gold spots and topped by a gold bucket, had a mottled appearance during the work. Nearby water shooters and short pillars at one end of the splash pad also appeared to be undergoing repainting.

Disney has not announced a reopening date or described the scope of the work. The closure follows the recent reopening of the splash pad at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort after its own refurbishment.
