Guests staying at Disney's BoardWalk Inn or BoardWalk Villas this late summer should know that the Village Green courtyard will be off-limits from August 10 through September 4, 2026, as part of a broader refurbishment project currently underway at the resort.

The Village Green is the outdoor hub where Disney typically hosts Movie Under the Stars screenings, morning yoga, crafts, and the resort's signature holiday Christmas tree. During the closure, those activities will shift to other locations around the BoardWalk property, though Disney has not yet announced the specific spots where each will land.

The current refurbishment phase runs through late 2026, and a second phase is already confirmed for early 2027. That next stretch — slated for January 11 through April 2027 — will temporarily close the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and the poolside bar Leaping Horse Libations. Guests will still have swimming options, as both the Villas Pool and the Inn Pool are expected to remain open throughout that period.

Disney notes that construction sights and sounds may be noticeable during daytime hours, but dining, recreation, and merchandise locations at the resort will remain available throughout both phases of the project.
