Disney's BoardWalk is in the middle of a serious makeover, with three distinct new venues in various stages of construction along the resort's waterfront promenade. Whether you're a regular visitor or planning your first stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, there's plenty of fresh reasons to stop and explore.
The most imminent arrival is Hurly-Burly, a new lounge set to open October 1st. The space will welcome families during afternoon hours with trivia and games, then shift to a 21-and-over venue at 9 p.m., featuring live music and coastal-inspired cocktails. The coastal theme is already visible on the exterior, which has been repainted in shades of blue, and a new sign has been installed above the entrance.
A brand-new quick-service restaurant is also confirmed for the BoardWalk, though Disney has not yet announced a name, concept, or opening timeline — only that more details are expected later this summer. The new counter-service spot is believed to be moving into the space formerly occupied by Big River Grille & Brewing Works, which would give resort guests a much-needed casual dining option without a reservation.
Rounding out the trio is Basin on the BoardWalk, a new retail shop that promises a sensory shopping experience rooted in the resort's classic boardwalk heritage. Disney describes the concept as "both timeless and distinctly new," though construction walls are still up and additional details haven't been released yet.
