Disney Cruise Line’s upcoming Disney Believe has reached an early construction milestone in Papenburg, Germany. The first of the vessel’s three major prefabricated sections, known as gigablocks, has been completed and floated out at the Meyer Werft shipyard.
The completed middle section includes the ship’s Grand Hall, which Disney has said will draw inspiration from Moana. Plans for the space include a bronze statue featuring Moana, Pua and Heihei.
Disney has also announced that the ship’s exterior will feature Woody and Buzz Lightyear stern sculptures, along with Tinker Bell in the bow design. Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid are among the stories set to inspire onboard venues and entertainment.
