The interior design alone is worth the trip. Coffered ceilings, spherical dandelion chandeliers, tufted leather bar stools at a marble countertop, and intricate hexagonal floor tiles with optical illusions all come together in a style that blends surrealism with Spanish Modernism. Nods to the lounge's namesake — including prints of the dahlia flower and references to the 2003 Walt Disney Animation Studios short film Destino — add thoughtful storytelling throughout the space. Bar seating even comes equipped with outlets, USB ports, and bag hooks, a small but genuinely useful touch.
The menu skews toward small bites and a well-stocked bar, with the lounge typically open from 5 PM to midnight. On a recent visit, the Espumoso Punch ($17.50) — a cava-based cocktail with port, blackberry liqueur, lime, and orange — delivered a bright, citrus-forward sip that's fruity and refreshing without being heavy. On the food side, Crispy Chicken Wings in a harissa-honey glaze ($15) brought real heat with a caramelized sweetness, while the Serrano Manchego Burger ($17) impressed with a juicy beef patty, melted Manchego, savory Serrano ham, and sweet pepper relish on a buttery brioche bun — housemade potato chips on the side included.
