Disney fans who can't make it to Anaheim's Honda Center still have a front-row seat to one of the year's biggest park announcement events. Disney has confirmed that Horizons: A Carousel of Progress — the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase — will stream live on Disney+ beginning at 7 PM PT on Saturday, August 15th, at no extra cost beyond a standard Disney+ subscription.

Neil Patrick Harris is set to host the evening, which will feature conversations with Walt Disney Imagineering leaders and creative talent, woven together with performances and what Disney describes as "high-energy" special moments. The creative team taking the stage includes Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum, WDI President and Chief Creative Officer Bruce Vaughn, and a roster of executive creative directors and portfolio producers covering Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disney Cruise Line.

Disney has said attendees and viewers can expect project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, and behind-the-scenes insights into some of the company's most ambitious ongoing projects — language that strongly hints at news on upcoming park expansions and attractions.

The showcase isn't the only D23 content hitting Disney+ that weekend. Additional streams include a Beauty and the Beast 35th Anniversary Celebration (August 14, 11 AM PT), the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 panel (August 15, 3:30 PM PT), a Disney Worldbuilders Panel featuring Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kevin Feige, Pete Docter, and Jared Bush moderated by Leslie Iwerks (August 16, 10:15 AM PT), and the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony (streaming August 16 at 6 PM PT).
