Guests staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort have two new breakfast options to consider: Peanut Butter Crunch Pancakes at Rix Sports Bar & Grill and a Mickey Churro Cinnamon Roll at Barcelona Lounge.
The $20 pancake dish includes three granola-crunch buttermilk pancakes layered with bananas and candied walnuts, then topped with creamy peanut butter sauce. Guests can choose applewood bacon or kielbasa sausage on the side.
Disney Food Blog, which reviewed the new dish, said the pancakes delivered crunch from the granola and walnuts but had less peanut butter flavor than expected. The outlet also noted that the bananas added sweetness and the whipped cream gave the plate a richer taste, while questioning whether the quality justified the $20 price.
At Barcelona Lounge, the new $7.99 Mickey Churro Cinnamon Roll is topped with icing. According to Disney Food Blog, the roll is dense, very sweet and large enough to share. The review found it was not dry, though it could have used more icing, and noted that the cinnamon sugar and icing can make it messy to eat.
