Flagler County is getting its first taste of PGA Tour Champions golf this October, as the Constellation Furyk and Friends tournament relocates from Jacksonville to the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The event runs October 5–11 and brings with it world-class competition, a lively fan experience — and a serious charitable mission.
The tournament is organized through the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation, which has raised roughly $1 million per year for local charities since the event launched in 2021. Last year alone, proceeds supported more than 50 organizations and benefited thousands of children and families across Northern Florida. At the media day on August 11, Jim and Tabitha Furyk presented a $30,000 check to Provision Packs, an Ormond Beach nonprofit that provides meals to children in need. Tabitha Furyk noted the gift will feed 100 additional kids this school year, growing to 270 by the 2026–27 school year.
Jim Furyk — a 17-time PGA Tour winner and 2003 U.S. Open champion — spoke enthusiastically about the new venue, singling out the 9th hole as one of the best in Florida. Tournament Director Adam Renfroe described an expansive fan zone along the boardwalk near the 18th hole, featuring video boards, a golf simulator, and a concert stage. All Friday ticket holders will also get to catch a performance by country artist Billy Currington. Admission is complimentary for anyone 17 and under, college students, and military members.
Organizers are not abandoning their Jacksonville-area charity partners with the move — Tabitha Furyk stressed that the goal is to expand the foundation's reach into Flagler and Volusia counties while continuing support in Duval and St. Johns counties. Typical attendance for the event runs into the thousands, and the team is hoping to draw fans from across the region.
