Central Florida’s Sept. 25-27 weekend calendar ranges from aviation demonstrations to haunted attractions and family dinosaur encounters. The Orlando Air Show returns to Orlando Sanford International Airport on Saturday and Sunday, with gates opening at 9 a.m. and aerial performances scheduled from noon to about 4 p.m.
The air show lineup includes the F-22 Raptor Demo Team, the U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet Demo Team, Navy SEALs Leap Frogs, the Racers Jet Team and aerobatic pilots Galen Killam and John Black. Tickets start at $32.
For Halloween-season outings, SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream is scheduled for Sept. 25 and 26, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. The separately ticketed event includes five haunted houses, six scare zones, themed bars, entertainment and select roller coasters. SCREAM-A-GEDDON in Dade City is also open Friday through Sunday, beginning at 7 p.m., with haunted-house experiences and food, drinks and fire pits.
Families can head to Daytona Beach’s Ocean Center for Jurassic Quest, running Sept. 25-27. Admission includes Jurassic Quest, Ancient Oceans and Frozen Frontier, along with life-size dinosaur displays, live shows, rides, fossil digs, inflatables and crafts. Oakland Nature Preserve’s Nature Fest, meanwhile, runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with guided hikes, animal interactions and conservation presentations.
