You don't always have to drive to a buzzy new hotspot for a great meal. OpenTable recently dug into local search and reservation data to identify the Central Florida restaurants earning the most love as true neighborhood staples — and the resulting list spans everything from Japanese omakase to Greek comfort food to wood-fired pizza.
On the Orlando side, Park Pizza and Brewing Co. in Lake Nona is drawing praise for its oven-fired wings and attentive service, while F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen in the Hourglass District is winning fans with its meatballs and garlic bread. Tucked into Mills Market on East Colonial, the tiny ten-seat Okonomi is being called a destination for authentic sushi with fish imported largely from Japan. Buca di Beppo on South Orange Blossom Trail also made the cut, highlighted for its ability to handle large groups with ease.
Beyond Orlando proper, Tabla Indian Restaurant earns two spots on the list — one for its Winter Park location on Park Avenue and another for its Oviedo outpost — with diners pointing to a diverse menu, customizable spice levels, and consistently warm service. Vinia Wine & Kitchen, also in Winter Park, is noted for its multi-course dining and thoughtful wine pairings. Rounding out the ten are two spots a bit farther afield: Ocean 302 in Melbourne Beach, praised for wood-fired pizza and fresh seafood including Faroe Island salmon, and Crabby's on the Lakefront in St. Cloud, where a seafood boil and crab legs seem to be the main draw for celebrations and group dinners alike.
