Construction on Animal Kingdom's upcoming Tropical Americas land is moving fast enough that the entrances to the new area are already becoming recognizable. During a recent visit to the park, observers spotted two distinct structural additions at the perimeter of the former DinoLand, U.S.A. footprint.
At what was DinoLand's main entrance, a metal framework for an archway has gone up — a structure that matches the concept art Disney has previously shared for Tropical Americas and its fictional setting, the town of Pueblo Esperanza. This gateway appears to lead into the area where a carousel and a restaurant are planned.
On the opposite side of the land, closer to Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond, a second entrance is further along in its finishing work. Two stone columns have already been given a deliberately weathered, crumbly appearance — a detail that suggests the decorative theming process is well underway. This second entry sits near what was previously the DinoRama section of DinoLand. Whether the columns will eventually be joined by a connecting arch isn't yet clear from the available concept art.
Tropical Americas is slated to open in 2027 and will include attractions based on Encanto and Indiana Jones, along with new dining options. More details about the land could be revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, scheduled for August 14–16, 2026.
