A group on Walt Disney World’s Savor the Savanna tour had an unusually close wildlife encounter when a giraffe approached its safari vehicle and appeared to investigate the lights mounted above the guests.
The moment was shared in a TikTok by Will Gray, who tagged Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Savor the Savanna. In the video, the giraffe stretches toward the top of the vehicle and puts part of the equipment in its mouth. Gray wrote that the tour was “worth it.”
Savor the Savanna is a privately guided Animal Kingdom experience in the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. Disney says guests travel through the savanna in a safari vehicle, learn about the animals and their care, and visit a private viewing area for African-inspired food and beverages, including beer and wine for guests old enough to drink.
Disney currently lists the experience at $199 to $209 per person before tax. Participants must be at least 8 years old, and guests under 18 need to be accompanied by a participating adult. Theme park admission is required and is not included; depending on admission type, a park reservation may also be needed. Visitors planning an Animal Kingdom day can review Disney World ticket options separately.

Animal activity is not guaranteed on the tour. Disney notes that its itinerary, content, duration and availability may change without notice, and that severe weather or lightning can affect the generally rain-or-shine excursion. As the video shows, the animals’ movements can make each tour different.
